RISC-KIT researchers from the University of the Algarve take part in "Ciência Imperial".
The special evening dedicated to science was organised by Ciência Viva, Algarve, Portugal.
RISC-KIT's Theocharis (Haris) Plomaritis, UAlg, recently took part in an event in commemoration of National Science and Technology Day, organised by the Portuguese science network, Ciência Viva. "Ciência Imperial", which took place on 24th November at the University of the Algarve in Faro, was organised by the Ciência Viva centre in the Algarve, and brought together regional researchers and others in a celebration of all things science.
Through rapid-fire style presentations lasting no more than 3 minutes apiece, researchers showcased the broach range of research underway at the university, from post-graduate researchers to large European projects such as RISC-KIT. The event provided a platform for sharing experiences in a relaxed and sociable setting.
The meeting was free of charge and open to the general public and over 50 guests participated on the night.
