North Norfolk Case Study is presented at the EGU Conference 2016

RISC-KIT was highlighted during the recent European Geosciences Union General Assembly.

The European Geosciences Union General Assembly took place in Vienna, Austria, from 17-22 April 2016. This enormous conference saw the participation of 13,650 scientists from 109 countries.

Special sessions covered themes such as Climate, Geodynamics, Natural Hazards, Ocean Sciences and many many more.

RISC-KIT colleagues, Sue Brooks and Tom Spencer, from the University of Cambridge, participated in a special session, "Climate change and its impacts in the Baltic and North Sea regions: Observations and model projections."

Their oral presentation, "Shoreline responses to storm impacts: North Norfolk coast, southern North Sea, " which explored the connection between sea level rise and the rate of coastal barrier retreat on a portion of the eastern UK coast.
