Tom Spencer appointed "Professor of Coastal Dynamics" at the University of Cambridge

RISC-KIT partner and Case Study Owner for North Norfolk recognised for his academic achievements.

           

 

Congratulations to Dr. Tom Spencer on his recent appointment as "Professor of Coastal Dynamics". Dr. Spencer is the Director of the Cambridge Coastal Research Unit at the University of Cambridge.

 

Dr. Spencer is an expert on coastal geomorphology, hydrodynamics, sedimentation and ecological processes in natural and re-created tidal wetlands, estuarine hydro- and morpho-dynamics and coastal zone management.

 

In RISC-KIT, Dr. Spencer and his team contribute to the provision of data for the North Norfolk case study site as well as application of the RISC-KIT tools to that case study. Dr. Spencer also takes an active role in engaging End Users from the UK in the development and evaluation of the RISC-KIT tools.
