Job Opportunity: Environmental Scientist/Oceanographer

RPS Applied Science Associates - South Kingstown, Rhode Island, USA.

RPS ASA is seeking an individual with a strong background in environmental science and/or oceanography. Experience in the application of quantitative analyses to solve environmental problems associated with contaminants in terrestrial, aquatic, and atmospheric ecosystems is required. The candidate must have strong technical writing skills and clear verbal communication skills with experience in modeling. Programming (Matlab/Python/Fortran), ArcGIS, proficiency of the MS Office Suite, research, and presentation skills are highly desirable. Some familiarity with hydrocarbon chemistry is welcome. The candidate should have a Master’s level degree in a hard science such as oceanography, chemistry (or chemical engineering/oceanography), other environmental sciences or equivalent.

The successful applicant must be motivated and demonstrate an ability to work on highly dynamic and interactive projects both independently and as a team.
