RISC-KIT report on upcoming Special Issue publications is released!

The RISC-KIT Consortium is delighted to announce the release of another Public Deliverable. Delivberable 6.5 - Submission of Academic Papers in Special Issues of Leading Journals, has just been released. This report details the forthcoming special issue of the renowned Elsevier journal Coastal Engineering.

Coastal Engineering, published in the Netherlands by Elsevier, describes itself as “An international journal for coastal, harbour and offshore engineers” and publishes papers on practical and technological aspects of coastal engineering as well as numerical modelling, experimentation and field observations as well as applied studies. Coastal Engineering currently has an impact factor of 2.841, according to Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Reports 2016.

Papers focus either on tools, technical aspects, socio-cultural/stakeholder interaction, and applications of the RISC-KIT tools and methods. The special publication is intended to contribute to the dissemination of RISCKIT project results, project data and information, and includes applications of the tools on case study sites and lessons learned.

Twenty three papers were submitted to the journal by the RISC-KIT participants and all submissions have been retained for peer-review. The special issue is expected to be published in the autumn of 2017.
