[MEETING] RISC-KIT 2nd General Assembly Meeting
8 - 9 May 2014
The 2nd General Assembly Meeting of the EU FP7 project RISC-KIT (Resilience-Increasing Strategies for Coasts - toolKIT) will be held in Cambridge, UK, in the facilities of the project’s partner UCAM-CCRU. During the 8th and the 9th of May 2014, almost 40 scientists, deriving from the 18 partners of the project’s Consortium, will participate to the meeting, that will focus on the lessons learned from past extreme events in the Case Study sites, the possible contribution of the project’s deliverables to the EU Flood Directive, and in other research related issues as are the Bayesian modelling techniques in the coastal environment, the cultural aspects in estuarine resource management, the future climate impacts on coastal systems, etc. In the aforementioned context the project’s Consortium will discuss the best appropriate ways to utilize the existing and new knowledge in order to achieve the project’s goals in the most efficient way.
